Working Instructions
Only apply the machine to the sheet metal when
switched on.
Guide the machine vertically to the surface and avoid
tilting.
Advancing too fast significantly reduces the service life
of the tools and can damage the machine.
Sharp tools result in good cutting performance and
protect the machine.
Change the tools regularly.
Maximum Sheet Metal Thickness
The maximum sheet metal thickness that can be cut
d
is dependent on the strength of the material to be
max
worked.
Sheet metal of the following thickness can be cut with
this machine:

Cooling and Lubrication
Lubricate the top side of the sheet along the cutting
line with cutting oil. This prolongs the service-life of the
die.
When cutting aluminium, dip the complete punch in
lubricant from time to time.
Nibbling to a Scribed Line or with a Template
Cuts may be executed easily by guiding the nibbler
along a template or a straight edge.
When cutting, guide the unit with a slight thrust in the
cutting direction. Cutting takes place during the
downward movement of the punch.
For interior cuts, a starting hole of 16 mm diameter is
required.
For straight cutting, secure the die 8 against rotating
by tightening the clamping screw 6.
For curved cutting, loosen the clamping screw 6. The
die is then free to rotate and positions itself in the
direction of advancement.

Extraction of the Exhaust Air
Type 0 607 561 102 / 0 607 561 106
After removing the silencer 4, a hose can be connect-
ed to the air outlet that leads away the exhaust air.
Type 0 607 561 113
Slide the exhaust air hose 9 over the air supply hose 3.
Mount the air supply hose 3 onto the hose connection
piece 2 and attach the exhaust air hose 9 to the hous-
ing.
Advantages:
–
Noise reduction
–
No contamination of the working area by stirred
up dust
–
Exhaust air led away.
Changing the tool
Before performing any work on the unit itself,
disconnect the air supply.
Replacing the Die
(Fig.
)
A
Loosen the clamp screw 6 with an 2.5 mm Allen key.
Unscrew the sleeve nut 7 with an 30 MM open-
ended spanner and remove. Pull off the die 8.
Insert a new, well oiled die.
