7.10 Drying of the strips and dispension of samples

The Neptune instrument moves the clamp to the front and swings it into an oblique position for
the easy drying of the strips. The touchscreen displays :
Please dry the strips by gently applying the provided absorbent paper onto the basis of the
bottom small cavity (i.e. the sample loading hole). Please see instructions hereafter.
When all the strips have been dried, press
test? ».
Apply the samples by dispensing 10 µl of serum/plasma into the sample loading hole of each
strip.
NB: The 10µl of the serum can also be directly pipetted into the Diluent Buffer ("Well I") of the
cartridge. For more information, please refer to the insert of the kit.
Patient samples have to be treated as potentially hazardous for the
transmission of infectious diseases. The wearing of laboratory gloves and
safety goggles is strongly recommended.
