Important safety instructions

It is recommended to carefully read the contents of this User Guide before using the
Neptune instrument.

The inappropriate use of the Neptune instrument can lead to electrocution,
to burns, to fire and other dangers.
-
Plug the instrument only into outlets provided with ground fault circuit
interruption.

Do not use the Neptune instrument if it does not function correctly or if it
has suffered damage such as a deterioration of the electrical cord or its
connector, a damage due to a fall of the apparatus or a damage due to a
fall of the apparatus into water or to water projection on the apparatus.

Do not leave the instrument unattended when plugged in.

Do not place the instrument or its electrical cord on a surface which is too
hot for touching.

Do not place the instrument into liquid and avoid sites where it could fall
into liquid. If the machine is wet, unplug it before touching it.

Only use the instrument for the use as indicated in the Instructions for
Use.

Do not use accessories other than those provided and/or recommended
by the manufacturer. In case of inappropriate use or any use non-
approved by this User Guide, the manufacturer cannot guarantee the
results, nor the safety of the apparatus, and declines any responsibility.

It is recommended to be careful during the use of the Neptune
instrument. Any brutal shock is likely to have a negative impact on the
alignment of the sensors.

Do not use the instrument outside.

Do not move the instrument during the processing of a test.

Do not place your fingers inside the machine via the lower part when the
machine is operating, as the moving parts may wedge them.

Do not place your fingers inside the machine via the lower part when the
machine is plugged in: there is a risk of short-circuit of the electronic
chart components.

Do not place your fingers inside the machine when the lid is open during
the step of sample applying: the motor commanding the movements of the
clamp could wedge your fingers.

Unplug the machine when it is not in use.
-
Do not place anything on top of the machine.
