DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTMENT
Lift the depth of cut locking lever (10) and raise the saw body away
from the base plate (3). Set the depth of cut using the scale (11) and
push the lever (10) down to lock (See C and D). Always add 3mm to
your depth of cut so the blade can cut through the material.
5
BASE PLATE
Adjusting the angle of the base plate (3) enables bevel cutting (See.
E). The base plate (3) must always be held firmly against the material
being cut to reduce saw vibration, blade jumping or blade breakage
(See F and G).
6
BASE PLATE ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
Loosen the base plate bevel lock of two knobs (7) and rotate the base
plate (3) to set the bevel angle using the base plate angle scale (18)
provided. Then clamp the base plate (3) position using the lock (7)
(See E). Finally, check the angle and ensure the base plate is firmly
clamped. The angle markings (18) on the base plate (3) are accurate
for most general purposes but it is recommended for accurate
work to set the angle with a protractor and make a test cut on other
material. Do not use the depth of cut scale when making bevel cuts
due to possible inaccuracy.
7
CUTTING GUIDE
There is a cutting guide notch (19) on the front of the base plate (3)
for using with a parallel guide (21). For straight cuts, use the 0
mark to align with your parallel guide scale. For a 45
the 45
guide mark to align with your parallel guide scale. Securely
O
clamp the parallel guide (21). Always make a trial cut to check the
setting.

PARALLEL GUIDE ADJUSTMENT
Used for making cuts parallel to a workpiece edge at a chosen
distance. Slide the parallel guide(21) arm through both fixtures to
achieve the required cutting distance and tighten screw to lock into
position (See Fig H). The cutting distance is shown on the scale by
the 0
or 45
notch edge (19). Always make a trial cut to check the

DUST EXTRACTION OUTLET
To remove sawdust, connect a suitable external dust extraction
machine (e.g. vacuum cleaner) to the dust extraction outlet (13) using
the adaptor (20) and a flexible hose connection. Ensure the hose
connection is secure (SeeI).
