5. Push the START button on top of the regulator
towards the propane tank. Hold for three seconds.
(See Figure 5)
NOTE: Not necessary to repeat Step 5 after
each use. Repeat only when disconnecting
and reconnecting the regulator.
6. Spray soapy water on all three connections to check
that there are no leaks in the parts that have been
screwed together. If bubbles emerge seconds after,
use wrench to securely tighten the connections
again. (See Figure 6)
7.
Depress trigger half way for one second, allowing
gas to fill chamber. Fully depress trigger after the
allowed time to ignite gun. (See Figure 7)
NOTE: The heat gun automatically cuts off
the supply of gas if the pressure drops below
the minimum level necessary for normal
functionality. (See Figure 8)
Automatic shutoff occurs when:
• The tank is nearly empty. At this point, the gun can
only be used for a few more minutes at reduced
power. Tank needs to be changed.
• The temperature of the tank has dropped after
intensive use (icing). Change the tank temporarily or
wait until the normal pressure returns, especially
if you are working outside (30° F and colder).
