DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
The parts illustration and list on pages 13 and 19 show the general
arrangement and name of the parts of the CM Bandit lever hoist.
These should be used when disassembling and re-assembling the

FREE CHAIN ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
To ensure proper function of the hoist brake and free chain systems,
perform the following steps prior to starting STEP 1.
a. Set direction lever to "N" position.
b. Turn (14/14L) Change Over Gear clockwise to insure
the Change Over Gear has engaged the brake disc.
Complete this step while holding the chain strand with
lower hook attached.
c. A "clicking" sound will be heard if the load side of the
chain is not held with sufficient force.
d. After tightening (14/14L) Change Over Gear, make
sure the Change Over Gear will not rotate in the
counterclockwise direction.
STEP 1: INSTALL CAM
a. Attach (16) Cam to (2) Drive Shaft by aligning Cam

STEP 2: INSTALL FREE CHAIN KNOB
a. Set (17) Twisting Spring into slot located on the back of
(18) Hand Wheel. Rotate (17) Twisting Spring until spring
tab is next to rib on (18) Hand Wheel as shown.
b. Fit opposite end of (17) Twisting Spring next to the

to temporarily secure (18) Hand Wheel.
e. Place outward-projecting end of (19) Twisting Spring into
slot located on the back of (20) Twisting Spring Housing.
Hook the other end (inward-projecting tab) of
(19) Twisting Spring into one of the three slots
located inside (18) Hand Wheel as shown below.
f. Rotate (20) Twisting Spring Housing 120° counterclockwise
while simultaneously pressing inward toward hoist body.
Align splines of (20) Twising Spring Housing with mating
splines on (2) Drive Shaft.
