- Keep the microscope away from dust and shocks while in use.

do not!
- Wipe the surface of any optical items with your hands. Fingerprints can damage the optics.
- Use solvents, neither on the microscope, nor on the optics.
- Disassemble objective or eyepieces to attempt to clean them.
- Mishandle or impose unnecessary force on the microscope.
- Clean the unit with volatile solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Attempt to service the microscope yourself.

How to change the lamp
- Before changing the lamp, you must pull the plug out of the electrical socket. To avoid being
burnt, wait until the lamp has cooled down.
- Hold the main body and tilt the microscope until the bottom base can be seen. Loosen the
door-lock screw of the small door on the bottom base to open the lamp housing. The lamp
and lamp holder come out with the door.
- Pull out the old lamp. Hold the new lamp without touching it with your bare hands (e.g. using
its packaging, or a cloth) and insert it into the holder. Replace/close the lamp holder.
B-500 ERGO: the high-efficiency white LED source in B-500 ERGO is designed to last many
years without any performance decrease. Never try to replace it with another kind of LED
source. In case of malfunctioning contact OPTIKA service.
