Never work with the brush cutter when adverse
meteorological conditions such as dense fog, rain or strong
wind, storms or lightning.
Walk, never run during operation and look carefully to the
area where you will use the blade and the nylon line. You
should also never cut the grass walking backwards as you
could stumble.
While using the appliance, place adopt a stable position
and always keep balance. Do not use the appliance in
slippery, irregular or unstable surfaces, or in a lumpy
terrain.
Keep all your body parts away from the cutting
attachment while operating the brush cutter.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection,
anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves,
helmet and shin guards properly reduces the risk of injury.
Clothing worn during the appliance operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts.
Always wear resistant shoes with non-slip sole that fully
covers the foot. Never work barefoot or in sandals, for
example.
In case of nausea, headaches, sight problems (e.g.
reduced vision), hearing problems, dizziness and
reduced ability to concentrate, stop working immediately.
These symptoms may be caused by high exhaust gas
concentration.
The combustion engine releases poisonous gases as soon
as it starts running. These gases contain toxic carbon
monoxide, a colourless, odourless gas, as well as other
harmful substances. The combustion engine may never be
turned on inside confined or poorly ventilated spaces.
Plan rest breaks when using the brush cutter and avoid
using it for long periods. Permanent vibrations are harmful
to health.
Do not attempt to remove the wrapped material from the
cutting attachments and respective guards while the
engine is running, or the blade is rotating. Stop the engine
and wait for the cutting attachments to stop before
removing material wrapped around the blade shaft or head
and mowing head with nylon line and guards.
A massive load of vibrations may damage nervous and
circulatory systems, especially to whom have
circulatory problems. Inform your doctor if any symptoms
arise caused by vibrations. Among these symptoms, that
occur specially on fingers, hand and wrists, are also
included loss of sensation, pain, muscle weakness, skin
discoloration or tingling sensation.
The control and safety devices installed in the wheeled
brush cutter cannot be removed or inhibited.
When carrying out any cleaning, adjusting, repairing or
maintaining work, wear gloves and lay the wheeled brush
cutter in a firm and steady surface.
Keep the spark plug cap away from the spark plug, as
an unintentional spark can cause burns or an electric
shock. The contact of the spark plug with the spark plug
cap may cause an accidental start of the combustion
engine.
Allow the brush cutter to cool down in particular
before carrying out maintenance work on the
combustion engine, exhaust manifold and muffler.
Temperatures of 80 ° C and above can be reached.
Frequently check the equipment, especially before storage
(for example, before the winter period), regarding wear and
damages.
For safety reasons, replace worn or damaged parts
immediately so the appliance is always in perfect operating
conditions.
