INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
C-STRIP-B-LIN Series
8' FIXTURE INSTALLATION- HOOK AND CHAIN
(Requires use of (2) C-STRIP-A-SK Accessory)
1.
Detach the LED assembly by starting at one end of the first
4' section and pressing each side of the base. Pull the LED
assembly away from the base. Continue this along the entire 4'
section until the base and LED assembly are separated. See
Figure 4. Repeat for second 4' section.
2.
After separating the bases and LED assemblies, disconnect the
quick connects attaching the bases to the LED assemblies. Set
the LED assemblies aside until the base is mounted and wired.
See Figure 5.
3.
Insert the connecting bracket into one of the bases at the end with
no end plate. See Figure 12.
4.
Connect the two fixtures bases together using the (4) latches on
the connector plate. See Figure 13.
5.
Attach one supplied support chain to each supplied S-hook. To
prevent the connection from disengaging, use a pliers to crimp
closed the ends of the S-hooks inserted through chains. See
Figure 10.
6.
Attach the opposite ends of support chains to moulting surface
using customer supplied hardware. Mounting locations for the 4
chains should be directly above the 4 keyhole slots on the back of
the fixture base. Adjust chain lengths to allow proper suspension
of fixture. Make sure mounting surface and hardware can support
the weight of the fixture.
7.
Attach S-hooks to fixture base by routing S-hooks through keyhole
slots and out through holes next to slots. To prevent the fixture
from falling use a pliers to crimp closed the ends of the S-hooks
inserted into the base. See Figure 11.
8.
Remove the appropriate knockout from the base of the fixture and
route supply conduit or cord to knockout location. Attach conduit or
cord at knockout.
9.
With the fixture base installed, make wiring connections per the
appropriate wiring diagram in the Electrical Connections section.
NOTE: If using the occupancy sensor accessory, please refer
to OCCUPANCY SENSOR ACCESSORY section for installation
and programming of occupancy sensor before proceeding to the
Electrical Connections section.
10. Select desired wattage and CCT. See Figure 7.
11. Reconnect both quick connects that were disconnected in Step 2.
See Figure 8.
12. Reattach the (2) LED assemblies to the (2) fixture bases. The LED
assemblies should :"click" into place. See Figure 15.
13. Supply power to fixture.
OCCUPANCY SENSOR ACCESSORY
(Requires use of C-ACC-MW-L Accessory)
NOTE: When the occupancy sensor is used, dimming is controlled
by the occupancy sensor.
1.
Remove one 1/2" knockout on one end of the base.
2.
Mount the sensor to the base by passing the sensor wires and
threaded nipple through the 1/2" knockout opening. Secure the
sensor in place using the conduit nut on the nipple inside the
fixture base.
3.
Refer to instructions included with sensor for setting dip switches
to program sensor

EMERGENCY DRIVER CHECK
(For Luminaires Equipped With Emergency
NOTE: Emergency driver and AC driver must be fed from the same
branch circuit.
NOTE: For short-term testing of the emergency function, the battery
must be charged for at least one hour. The emergency driver must be
charged for at least 24 hours before conducting a long-term test.
STEP 1:
When AC power is applied, the charging indicator light is illuminated,
indicating the battery is being charged. When power fails, the
emergency driver automatically switches to emergency power, operating
the LED array. When AC power is restored, the emergency driver
returns to the charging mode.
STEP 2:
Although no routine maintenance is required to keep the emergency
driver functional, it should be checked periodically to ensure that it is
working. The following schedule is recommended:
• Visually inspect the charging indicator light monthly. It should be
illuminated.
• Test the emergency operation of the fixture at 30-day intervals for
a minimum of 30 seconds. When the test switch is depressed, the
LED array should operate.
• Conduct a 90-minute discharge test once a year. The LED array
should operate for at least 90 minutes.
If the fixture fails any of these checks, consult service personnel.
