products) which could reduce the normal level of
attention or perception or lead to slow reaction times.
2.6 Incorrect or improper use
The machine is designed for use exclusively for the purposes and in
the areas described in the relevant section of the manual. Use other
than those described in this manual is considered incorrect or
improper and therefore not in conformity with safety regulations.
IMPORTANT: Incorrect or improper use of the
machine could cause personal injury, death and/or
damage to the machine or equipment.
Examples of possible incorrect or improper use which could cause
personal injury or damage to the machine and other equipment are
given below:
Unauthorised modification or replacement of parts of the
machine; Failure to observe the safety instructions; Failure to
observe the installation, use, operation, maintenance and repair
instructions or performance of these operations by unqualified
personnel; Use on unsuitable and incompatible surfaces.
3 Operation and technical specification
3.1 Operating the machine
The MOTORISED SWEEPER is a professional appliance designed to
clean dry industrial floors or asphalted surfaces (warehouses, outdoor and
multi-storey car parks, laboratories in general, service stations, sports
centres, camp sites and holiday villages, hotels, supermarkets, workshops)
to remove solid material only, such as dust, soil, paper or similar by means
of the brush in the frame of the appliance and to external lateral brushes
which can be activated by the operator as required. The machine has a
large debris collection bin.

with electric motor, 650 ET and 850 ET, and in a version with internal
combustion engine, 650 STH and 850 STH.In the manual, the right,
left, front and back of the machine will be referred to from the point of
view of the operator holding the handlebar with controls.
3.2 Conditions of use
The MOTORISED SWEEPER
functions described in section of this manual only. The machine must
be used in environments conforming to those described in section on
admissible environmental values.
3.3 Technical specification of the machine
The weight of the two versions is different depending on the type of
motor fitted, while the external dimensions remain the same.

The internal combustion engines are fuelled by lead free petrol. The
internal combustion engine drives a suction fan and, by means of a
belt and pulley, the brushes and the wheels which move the machine
forward.
IMPORTANT – Do not use petrol/oil mixtures.
Use appropriate additives in the lead free petrol to
protect valves, valve housings, piston rings and the
cylinder head. Additives should be mixed with the
petrol in a proportion of 0.5-1 ‰ following the
instructions accompanying the additive used.
IMPORTANT! if the machine containing petrol without
additives is not used for long periods, this could
cause problems when starting up.
The electric machine is powered by one 12 V battery driving an electric
motor which operates a suction fan and, by means of a belt and pulley,
the brushes and the wheels which move the machine forward.

4 Safety parameters
4.1 Relevant technical regulations
The machine has been designed in accordance with community
regulations on machine safety.
4.2 Residual risks
In normal working conditions, there are no residual risks. There are,
however, residual risks always present during normal working
conditions exclusively in danger zones where access is prevented by
means of fixed guards. These guards must under no circumstances be
removed while the machine is in operation. Guards on transmission or
operating components may be temporarily removed in order to carry

out adjustments or routine or extraordinary maintenance (for
120
extraordinary maintenance, always contact a professional service
centre). The residual risks generated under these conditions may be
eliminated by adopting certain procedures. When using the machine,
150
the operator must hold the handlebar within reach of all operating
controls and with an adequate view of the path of the machine in order
to avoid impact with obstacles (danger of tipping over) and people

(injury to persons). The dust contained in the refuse collection bin or
captured by the air filter may be damaging to persons affected by

chronic respiratory diseases. These persons must use suitable
