length 2000 mm)
•
welding machine (ESAB caddy 200 (5-200A) or
similar)
•
welding machine (ESAB 0K 48.00 3.25 or similar)
•
drilling machine
•

Transport the dock leveller by means of the four
marked transport lugs.
•
Fig.

, page A1. When using a fork lift:
Always transport the dock leveller by means of
the four marked transport lugs.
Safely place the dock leveller on a level surface that
can be walked under. Remove the control unit
(fastened under the dock leveller platform in the box
behind the hydraulic unit). Guide the cables under-
neath the front of the dock leveller to the outside and
place the control unit e.g. on the dock leveller plat-
form.

NOTICE
Malfunction due to damaged cables
•
Do not crush the cables of the con-
trol unit located on the outside of
the dock leveller!
Fig.

, page A2. Insert the dock leveller into the
installation point. Ensure that the dock leveller is not
braced
and
that
10 mm (+0/-2 mm) between frame and dock leveller
platform is maintained.
Fig.
b
, page A2. Make sure that the diagonal di-
mensions of the dock leveller do not deviate by more
than 2 mm. Fill the air gap between the dock leveller
and the frame of the installation point with suitable
shims with a height of at least 60 mm and a thickness
corresponding to the gap width (e.g. 5 mm). Fix the
dock leveller to the frame using welding points. Re-
move the four transport locks on the dock leveller
platform and the two screws on the hinged lip.

Do not crush the cables of the con-
trol unit located on the outside of
the dock leveller!

installation point. Align the dock leveller horizontally
to the level by using mats as supports.
Weld the supports to the support points of the dock
leveller.
Fig.
b
, page A3. Make sure that the dock leveller
is not braced and that a lateral clearance of 15 mm
(+0/-2 mm) between the frame of the installation point
and the dock leveller platform is maintained. Make
sure that the diagonal dimensions of the dock leveller
do not deviate by more than 2 mm. Fix the dock level-
ler using welding points on the frame of the installa-
tion point and on the front support.
Remove the two screws on the hinged lip.

Further assembly steps
4.6.1 Test run
Fig.
a
, page A5. Insert the CEE plug of the control
of
unit into a socket. Carry out a test run of the dock lev-
eller (see assembly and operating instructions of the
control unit). In doing so, check all functions of the
dock leveller.
These assembly, operation and maintenance instructions must be kept for the entire period of use!
