Operating the heater
Before plugging in the heater, check to ensure:
•
Your electricity supply matches that shown on the rating label of the appliance. The
appliance must only be used as rated.
•
The electrical outlet you will use has an earth facility and is not used by other
appliances.
•
You will plug the appliance directly into a wall outlet, not an extension cord or
relocatable power strip.
•
The power cord and plug are not damaged.
•
When plugging and unplugging, always hold the plug, not the cord.
After you have plugged in the heater, follow the instructions below to start using it.
5.3.1
Powering on/off the heater
To turn the heater on or off, press the power button.
•
Once turned on, the LED display lights up and indicates the default or last set
temperature in Celsius.
•
The set temperature is displayed using a 3-digit number with one decimal place
unless the heater is in ECO mode. For instance, a temperature of 20.5 degrees is
displayed as 205.
•
Once turned on, the heating element starts working and radiating heat using the last
used settings.
•
After turning off, the heater will retain all settings such as temperature and power
mode. The timer setting will not be retained.
5.3.2
Adjusting the temperature
When the heater is displaying a temperature, turn the MODE knob to adjust the set
temperature from 5 to 35°C.
•
In non-ECO modes, the set temperature changes in 0.5°C increments/decrements.
•
In ECO mode, the set temperature change in 1°C increment/decrement.
•
When the ambient temperature reaches the set temperature, the heating element
will stop working.
•
When the ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature, the heating
element will start working again.
Notes:
•
To adjust the set temperature while the timer is running, turn the MODE knob to
have the set temperature displayed and continue turning the knob while the set
temperature is blinking.
•
After the heater turns off, the heater will continue radiating heat for a while because
of the unique properties of its metal heating element.
5.3.3
