Working with the guiding device

Incorrect retraction can damage the product or objects in its vicinity.
➢ Check the retraction before each use of the guiding device.
Do not use the guiding device if the retraction does not work.

4.1 Connecting the machine with the guiding device

Use the following procedure to connect the
machine with the guiding device:
1. Position the machine behind the ratchet on the
guiding device.
2. Ensure that the guiding groove on the machine
(identified by a notch) matches exactly the fold
provided on the guiding device.
3. Slip the machine in the processing direction
onto the guiding device until the machine
engages in the ratchet 1.
The machine is connected with the guiding

device.
Important information when using the Model S guiding device:
Adjust the machine used to a cutting depth of at least 30 mm (1.18 in) before placing it on
the guiding device S or when removing it. Otherwise the cable holder of the guiding device
will get caught on the motor housing of the machine used.
