A2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

Attention! This equipment requires regular periodic maintenance in order to ensure the
potability requirements of the treated drinking water and the maintenance of improvements
as declared by the manufacturer.
Attention! Before carrying out any intervention on the filter other than cleaning and washing
and draining, place the filter in the by-pass position and call a specialized technician.
Attention! The manufacturer is relieved of any responsibility in the event that the
prescriptions of this manual are not observed.
If maintenance requires disassembly of the equipment, the parts that come into contact with drinking
water must be handled with care from a hygienic point of view to avoid contamination of the hydraulic
system. Use suitable disposable gloves. Any tools used must be cleaned and disinfected before use.
Periodic maintenance is foreseen on two levels expressly defined in relation to the difficulty:
Routine maintenance can be carried out by the end user and consists of periodic cleaning of
the filter.
Extraordinary maintenance must only be performed by qualified technical personnel.
A2.1 Routine maintenance
Periodically carry out the following operations:
d. Visual check of watertightness (no leaks).
e. Clean and
every 3-4 days and in any case when the hydraulic pressure available to the users is reduced
(clogging of the filter element), turn the upper knob clockwise. Each click corresponds to the
transition between the cleaning and filtration phases. If necessary, repeat the operation.
Return the filter to the filtration position (check that the bottom drain is closed). During the
cleaning operation, the filter drains the water. The drain connection must be channeled into
a visible drain.
Clean the outside of the filter (knob, brass body and bowl) using a soft damp cloth. Do not

use alcohol or solvent based cleaners.
Attention! To effectively wash the filter, a minimum pressure of at least 2 bars is required. If
necessary, during the filter cleaning operation, temporarily close the shut-off valve located
downstream of the filter.
NON-USE
For periods of inactivity of less than 30 days, clean the filter repeatedly (4-5 times) keeping the filter
in the drain position for 30 seconds in order to allow adequate flushing of the filter.
For periods of inactivity longer than 30 days, sanitize the filter.
