Installing accessories on the threaded spindle

1. Make sure that the disc guard (12) is fitted;
2. Remove the flanges;
3. Screw the wire cup brush onto the thread of the
spindle;
4. Press the spindle lock button (5) and turn the
accessory until it locks. Press down the spindle lock
button and tighten the attachment;
5. Perform a test, at maximum speed, to check the
correct installation of the rotating accessory;
6. To remove the attachment, follow the installation
procedure in reverse.

Battery

1. Insert the battery (9) on the groove and slip it all the
way until you hear a "click" noise from the
lock/unlock button (8). At this point, the battery is
locked in place;
2. To remove the battery, press the lock/unlock button
and pull out the battery.
Use VITO 20V lithium-ion batteries.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

While operating the appliance some precautions must
be taken into account:
▪ Always hold the angle grinder with both hands and
with the auxiliary handle fitted;
▪ Do not apply too much pressure over the work
piece/object. The angle grinder's weight is enough to
apply the necessary pressure. If speed drops
abruptly, the pressure
immediately;
▪ Never turn the angle grinder on if the rotating
accessory is touching the workpiece. The rotating
accessory must not touch the workpiece until the
maximum speed has been reached;
▪ Keep the edge of the wheel or disc at an angle of
about 15 degrees to the workpiece surface. This
procedure increases the grinding capacity of the disc
and will avoid unnecessary motor overloads;

▪ Do not use water or grease during the sharpening
process;
▪ Use special care when working corners, sharp edges.
Prevent the accessory from bouncing or getting stuck
in the workpiece;

Starting and stopping the angle grinder

1. Hold the angle grinder with both hands, one hand on
the handle (7) and the other on the auxiliary one (11);
2. Press the "ON/OFF" switch (6) and push it forward;
3. For continuous operation, move the "ON/OFF"
switch forward and simultaneously press it down to
keep the switch locked;
4. To switch off the angle grinder, release the "ON/OFF"
switch.

Spindle lock

Never press the spindle lock button while
operating the appliance, otherwise it may cause
damage to the angle grinder;
1. Press the lock button to prevent spindle rotation or
when you install or remove accessories;
2. To unlock the spindle, release the spindle lock
button.
