Created with acclaimed U2 bassist Adam Clayton, the Fender ACB 50
combo bass amplifier pumps warm and harmonically rich all-tube tone
prized by bassists everywhere for studio, club and arena alike. In close
collaboration with the man himself on its sound and modern style, it's
Fender's first-ever signature bass amp. Premium features include:
•
50 watts tube output power
•
Dual-channel design—channel one has vintage Fender "black
panel" preamp tonality with volume, bass and treble controls, a
mid-boost control and three-position mid-frequency selection
switch; channel two has flat frequency response with volume,
treble boost/cut and bass boost/cut controls
A.
CHANNEL ONE DUAL INPUTS: Connect instrument here. Input
1 is for normal sensitivity; input 2 has lower-sensitivity (-10dB) for
higher-output (active) basses.
Note that channel one delivers a more traditional Fender bass
sound, with the addition of an adjustable mid frequency boost
control (see item "E" below).
B.
CHANNEL ONE VOLUME: Controls channel one volume level.
C.
CHANNEL ONE TREBLE: Controls channel one treble tone level.
D.
CHANNEL ONE MIDDLE: Boosts channel one midrange tone
level, in connection with CHANNEL ONE MID FREQUENCY SWITCH
(E) setting.
E.
CHANNEL ONE MID FREQUENCY SWITCH: Three-position dial
switch selects low, middle or high midrange frequency setting
for boost using CHANNEL ONE MIDDLE control knob (D); note
that tonality differences of the three settings are best observed
at high settings of the CHANNEL ONE MIDDLE control.
