7.1

Spark plug inspection

WARNING!
The spark plug is important engine components, which should be checked periodically.
1. Remove the cover
wrench supplied with the generator, unscrew the spark plug by
turning it anticlockwise.
2. Check that there are no carbon residues, if necessary, remove
them with the aid of a steel brush.
3. Verify that the spark plug matches the model indicated: standard
spark plug A5RTC
4. Using a thickness gauge, check the distance between the electrodes: 0.6-0.8 mm.
5. Refit the spark plug with a tightening torque of 12.5 Nm.
6. Refit the spark plug cap

Carburetor adjustment

WARNING!
The carburetor is a vita! part ofthe engine. Adjusting should be left to our company authorized dealer with the
professional knowledge, specialized date, and equipment to do so properly.
7.3

Engine oil replacement

WARNING!
Avoid draining the engine oil immediately after stopping the engine. The oil is hot and should be handled with

care to avoid bums.
• To replace the oil, refer to Paragraph 5.3.
WARNING!
Do not tilt the generator when adding engine oil. This could result in overfilling and damage to the engine.
7.4

Air filter

- Place the Generator on a flat surface.
- Remove screw , then remove cover
- Remove filter cover
- Remove filter

- Wash the sponge element with neutral detergent and dry it.
- Oil the sponge element and wipe off excess oil. The sponge
element must be moistened but not dripping.
WARNING!
Do not wring the foam element during this operation. It could
tear.
- Insert the sponge element into the air cleaner body, making sure
the sealing surface of the sponge element adheres the air clea-
ner so that there is no air leakage.
WARNING!
The engine must never run without the sponge element; this can result in excessive
wear of the piston and cylinder.
- Refit the air cleaner body cover
- Refit cover and tighten screw
