8.3 Maintenance
The blades should be cleaned and lubricated
at regular intervals to ensure best perfor-
mance at all times. Remove deposits with a
brush and apply a thin film of oil (see Figure
11).
There are no other parts inside the equipment
which require maintenance.

8.4 Ordering replacement parts:

Please quote the following data when ordering
replacement parts:
Type of machine
Article number of the machine
Identification number of the machine
Replacement part number of the part required

9. Faults
If the equipment does not work:
Check that the power cable is connected properly
and check the electricity fuses/circuit breakers. If
the equipment will not work in spite of the supply
voltage being OK, please send it to the customer
service address provided.

10. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to pre-
vent it from being damaged in transit. The raw
materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Never place defective equipment in
your household refuse. The equipment should
be taken to a suitable collection center for proper
disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of
such a collection point, you should ask in your
local council offi ces.

11. Storage
Store the equipment and accessories in a
dark and dry place at above freezing tem-
perature. The ideal storage temperature is
between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in
its original packaging.
Always hold the equipment with one hand on
the main handle and the other hand on the
additional handle.
Do not carry the tool by its motor housing.
Secure the tool against slipping if you trans-
port it in a vehicle.
If possible, use the original packaging for
transporting the tool.
Clean the electric hedge trimmer and carry
out its maintenance before you put it into
storage.
During storage or transportation, use the
supplied safety guards for the hedge trimmer
blade.
