10.- PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS (Setting by programming software):
10.1.- SQUELCH LEVEL SETTING:
This transceiver provides 0 – 9 squelch level to select. You need to setting according to
the operation environment. The higher level is setting will only allow you to hear the
strongest signals. Do not set the level arbitrarily, so as not to affect the effective
communication distance.
Note:
- If level 0 is programmed, the squelch will always remain disabled.
10.2.- TRANSMIT POWER LEVEL SETTING:
The user can select the high (H) or low (L) power on the transceiver. Select the
transmission power according to the communication environment.
10.3.- TIME-OUT-TIMER (TOT):
This function will limit the transmission time. When it exceeds setting time, a warning tone
will be heard and the transceiver will disable the transmission. You can press the [PTT]
again to resume the timer. You can program the timer between 15 - 600 seconds.
10.4.- BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT (BCL):
When this function is programmed, the transceiver will disable the transmission while
receiving a signal on the selected channel.
10.5.- BATTERY POWER SAVE:
The battery saving function will be activated automatically when the transceiver does not
receive or transmit within 8 seconds. This function reduces the battery voltage
consumption and allows you to prolong the remains battery charge.
10.6- WIDE / NARROW BAND:
You can choose wide band (25 kHz) or narrow band (12.5 kHz).
10.7.- CTCSS AND DCS SETTING:
You can set CTCSS or DCS codes on your channels of your reference.
10.8.- VOX FUNCTION:
When the function is turn on, the VOX icon is displayed on the screen.
It has 10 programmable levels to choose, level 10 is the highest sensitivity and level 0 is
the lowest. If turn on this function, please turn off the tail tone if without use external
headset.
