OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
PMO SERIES 4" SUBMERSIBLE MOTOR
2.
Before installation, check whether the insulation resistance meets the standard requirements. The
insulation resistance must exceed 1MΩ when trying to close the operating temperature.
3.
Do not turn off the control button (black) on the protection device when the motor is operating
normally. Once the control button cuts off abnormally, turn off the power to find the problem. Once
the problem is solved, the control button should be reset firstly, and then start the motor operation.
4.
Before immersion, you should test for one minute and check whether the direction of rotation rema-
ins the same as indicated on the nameplate.
5.
Do not strike or press the cable and do not use it as a lifting cable. Do not pull on the cable while it
is running to avoid damage that could cause electric shock.
6.
The depth of the motor, when submerged, must not exceed 50 m and shall be more than 1 m from
the bottom of the water.
7.
The size of the motor must correspond to the characteristics of the hydraulic part (pump).
8.
The voltage and frequency available on line must be in accordance with those required on the motor.
9.
Do not open the oil filler cap because it is not necessary to fill the motor with electrical cooling liquid.
10.
The well where the motor is to be immersed must be properly cleaned.
11.
While in operation, washing, swimming and bathing are prohibited at the workplace to avoid acci-
dents.
12.
If the motor is too far away from the power supply, lengthen the cable accordingly.
13.
Turn off the power before adjusting the motor position or touching the motor to avoid accidents.
14.
Do not make the connection cable or socket touch the water while the electric pump is running to
avoid accidents.
15.
After turning off the power, do not remove the motor from the water until it cools down to avoid
explosion or other accidents.
16.
The cable connection method between the motor and the power supply should be as follows:
•
Clean the copper oxide from the core line, etc.
•
Handle by tin in advance, attached by bare copper line, then soldered by tin, please read the
attached connection diagram.

Before proceeding with the insulation, please deal with the above connection parts followed as follows:
1.
Please clean the solder part and keep it smooth.
2.
Clean the surface of the solder and the surface insulation layer of the cable near the solder with
alcohol.
3.
Ventilation.
