Battery usage E5000 L - E5000 XL
The battery is not supplied with the machine. For information on methods and precautions
for use relating to the battery, its maintenance and charging, refer to the documentation
provided by the manufacturer of the battery and battery charger.
Battery usage E5000 BPL - E5000 BPXL
The E5000 BPL - E5000 BPXL harvester is supplied with a lithium battery inserted in a special
backpack, connected to the machine power supply or to the battery charger alternately, and
never at the same time. The machine must be used only with the original battery, and charged
using only the original battery charger. The autonomy of the battery depends on the condi-
tions of use of the harvester. To recharge the battery, use the supplied automatic battery
charger 100 ÷ 240V AC, connecting it to the electrical socket and, subsequently, to the battery
connector. When plugging in the electrical socket, a red LED lights up. By connecting the
battery now, the second LED will turn red. The battery will be fully charged when this LED turns
green. The charging time is linked to the state of charge of the battery. The remaining battery
percentage is shown on the display by pressing the X button on the battery case. With a fully
discharged battery, it takes approximately 7 hours to fully charge. The battery must be
recharged indoors, in a cool, dry and ventilated place. It is strongly recommended not to
puncture, heat, wet or tamper the battery and the battery charger. At the end of the machine
use season, store the battery, disconnected from the machine, fully charged. IF THE BATTERY
IS NOT RECHARGED FOR A PERIOD OF MORE THAN 3 MONTHS, IT CAN BE DAMAGED AND
THE WARRANTY CONDITIONS WILL VOID.
Tines replacement
Identify the stick to replace by referring to gure E1.
The 2D / 2S, 3D / 3S, 4D / 4S rods must be replaced following the procedure described in gure
E3. Using the 2.5 mm spanner K (supplied), unscrew the lock nut D of the fore-end until it is
free to come out of its seat in the rod holder P and the reinforcement Y. If the rod does not
come out easily , use the wrench K (supplied) and a hammer to push it gently out of its seat, in
the direction indicated by the arrow. Fit the new stick, rst in the reinforcement Y and then in
the rod holder P, inserting it fully, possibly with the help of a hammer. Tighten the locking nut
as far as it will go. The 1D / 1S rods must be replaced following the procedure described in
gures E2 and E4: manually move the rods to the fully closed position, as indicated by the two
arrows in gure E2, then rotate the head on itself. In this position, from the lower hole F, using
the 3 mm spanner K (supplied), unscrew the locking nut of the forend until it is free to come
out of its seat in the forend holder P and from the reinforcement Y. If the stick is not easy to
extract, use the wrench K (supplied) and a hammer to push it gently out of its seat, in the
direction indicated by the arrow, inserting the pin into the appropriate side hole, as indicated
in gure E4. Fit the new stick, rst in the reinforcement Y and then in the rod holder P,
inserting it fully, possibly with the help of a hammer. Tighten the locking nut as far as it will go.
