3. Move the gauge block (A) to the opposite side of the worktable
as shown in Fig. 24.
IMPORTANT: The distance from the worktable to the workpiece
edge of the spindle must be equal.
4. Adjust the opposite side in the same way.
Adjusting the parallelism between the worktable
and the cutterhead
If the worktable is not parallel to the cutting head, follow these
adjustment procedures:
1. Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
2. Tilt the brush on its side to expose the underside of the base as
shown in Fig. 25.
3. Remove bolt (A) and loosen bolt (B) Fig. 25, which will allow you
to move the free-standing gear assembly (C) enough to release
the tension on the chain, as shown in Fig. 26.
FIG. 25
NOTE:
A. Turning the gear (D) clockwise will increase the clearance
between the worktable and the spindle workpiece; turning
counterclockwise will decrease the clearance.
B. This adjustment is very sensitive, and it should not be
necessary to turn the gear more than one or two teeth.

F. Anti-Kickback Nails
The feed roller (A) and the ejector roller (B) Fig. 27 are the
parts of your planer that feed the stock while it is being
planned. The feed roller and ejector roller are spring loaded and
this tension should be sufficient to feed the stock evenly
through the planer without slipping, but should not be so tight
as to cause damage to the planer. The tension should be equal
at both ends of each roller.
