Checking leak-tightness
♦ The SILENT flow sensor is connected to a socket.

⇒ Switch suction on.
♦ The green operating indicator begins to flash.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up.
⇒ Close the suction mouth with your hand so that air is no longer drawn in through the suction mouth.
⇒ Pay attention to noises that could indicate leakage.

Checking function
After assembly, check the leak-tightness of the suction route and the function of the SILENT flow sensor.
♦ The SILENT flow sensor is connected to a socket.
♦ The green operating indicator (9) lights up.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7).
⇒ Switch suction on.
♦ The green operating indicator begins to flash.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up.
⇒ Close part of the suction mouth with your hand so that the flow rate drops below the defined threshold
value.
♦ After a short time, the indicator for the corresponding threshold value starts to flash.
♦ The warning tone is output after approx. 30 seconds.
⇒ Pay attention to noises that could indicate leakage.
⇒ Release the suction mouth again and continue to suction for approx. 30 seconds.
♦ The indicator for the corresponding threshold value lights up steadily.
♦ The warning tone is no longer output.
⇒ Switch off the extraction unit.

Operation
If the flow rate is less than the defined threshold value for a certain period, the corresponding indicator
begins to flash and a warning tone is output every 30 seconds.
If the flow rate is too low at the suction point being monitored, the level of exposure to dust is
harmful to health!
⇒ Stop working at the suction point.
⇒ In the case of multi-workbench extraction units (SILENT TS2 / TC2 / EC2), you must stop working at
all suction points. This also applies for suction points of the multi-workbench extraction unit that are not
equipped with a SILENT flow sensor.
⇒ Determine why the flow rate is too low and resolve the issue.

Light is on or Leak between the suction mouth and the SILENT flow sensor / check the
flashing suction route between the suction mouth and the SILENT flow sensor,
in particular whether the inlet nozzle IN (1) has been fully and securely
