The battery can be charged both when installed in the vehicle and when removed from the vehicle.
For vehicle-mounted batteries, make sure that the charger clamp marked "+" is connected to the battery pole terminal marked "+"
and that the charger clamp marked "-" is connected to the vehicle body away from the battery and the fuel system.
Some vehicles may have a grounded positive battery pole. In this case, make sure that the charger clamp marked "i" is connected
to the battery pole terminal marked "-" and that the charger clamp marked "+" is connected to the vehicle body away from the
battery and the fuel system.
Warning! The grounding method of the battery in the vehicle should be checked before connecting the charger to the battery.
Warning! Do not connect the charger clamp to the carburettor, fuel lines, or thin metal parts.
Warning! It is forbidden to charge the batteries installed in the vehicle while the vehicle engine is running.
For a battery removed from the vehicle, make sure that the charger clamp marked "+" is connected to the battery pole terminal
marked "+" and that the charger clamp marked "-" is connected to the battery pole terminal marked "-".
Plug the power cord plug into the socket.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch the charger on. When the charger is in the standby mode, the POWER indicator light is
fl ashing. The display in this mode does not show any reading.
Use the control panel buttons to change the operating mode of the charger.
When charging the battery, the CHARGE indicator light comes on and the POWER indicator light stays on and, when charging
is fi nished, the CHARGE indicator light goes off and the FULL indicator light comes on. This means the charging is fi nished.
If the battery is charged for storage, do not unplug the charger power cord plug from the socket immediately. The charger will
automatically switch to the battery maintenance mode, which will properly prepare it for storage for a longer period of time.
Pressing the "VOLAGE" button shows the current battery voltage on the display.
When charging is complete, fi rst, unplug the power cord plug from the socket, and then disconnect the clamps of the charging
cables.
Charger operating mode
The 12V/2A mode means charging the battery with current up to 2 A. This mode is started by pressing the "CURRENT" button
and looking at the display which, for that mode, will display 02A. This mode is suitable for charging batteries with a rated voltage
of 12 V and a capacity of 2 to 40 Ah.
The 12V/6A mode means charging the battery with current up to 6 A. This mode is started by pressing the "CURRENT" button
and looking at the display which, for that mode, will display 06A. This mode is suitable for charging batteries with a rated voltage
of 12 V and a capacity of 14 to 150 Ah.
The 12V/10A mode means charging the battery with current up to 10 A. This mode is started by pressing the "CURRENT" button
and looking at the display which, for that mode, will display 10A. This mode is suitable for charging batteries with a rated voltage
of 12 V and a capacity of 25 to 200 Ah.
The 12V/15A mode means charging the battery with current up to 15 A. This mode is started by pressing the "CURRENT" button
and looking at the display which, for that mode, will display 15A. This mode is suitable for charging batteries with a rated voltage
of 12 V and a capacity of 30 to 300 Ah.
The BOOST mode allows for fast charging of the battery for 300 seconds (5 minutes). Press the "BOOST" button to start this
mode. The "BOOST" indicator light will light up and the display will initially show FAS.
In this mode, the battery must be installed in the vehicle. After 300 seconds, the display shows 000. Disconnect the charger from
the power supply and then from the battery and attempt to start up the engine. If the start-up fails, wait 15 minutes and repeat
the "BOOST" charging procedure. Most vehicles start after the fi rst "BOOST" charging. If the next start-up fails, stop charging the
battery in the BOOST mode and replace it with a new one. Do not use the BOOST mode more than twice every 24 hours when
charging the same battery.
In the "SUPPLY" mode, the charger operates as a DC power supply. This mode is enabled every time the battery is not connected
to the charger, and the display shows P12. If you need to switch this mode to one of the battery charging modes, connect the
battery to the charger clamps, then press the ON/OFF button twice. This mode is used to supply devices with a rated voltage of
12 V. The voltage on the charger terminals is 13.6 V, and the current when closing the circuit is 7 A. It can be used to supply the
vehicle computer for example during battery exchange. Before using this mode to power any devices, make sure that they can be
powered that way, e.g. refer to the device manual or contact the manufacturer.
ERROR indicator
The ERROR indicator is used to indicate errors or charger malfunctions. If the light comes on, check that it did not happen for the
following reasons: too low battery voltage, charger terminals connected to the battery incorrectly, overload. If the ERROR indicator
light is on and you hear a buzzer sound, the temperature inside the charger is too high. The charger will restart automatically
when it cools down.
12V DC socket
The charger is equipped with a separate DC outlet at the back of the housing. The outlet can be used in the same way as the 12 V
outlet in the vehicle system. It can only be used when the charger is in the SUPPLY mode. When charging in any operating mode,
the cigarette lighter socket is disconnected.
