d) Remove the metal part of external thermocouple. The sensor should be
directed with the wire up.
e) Connect the external thermocouple wire to the socket in the rear portion of
the device.
f) The device is ready for use.
Temperature setting
a) Switch the device on with I/O switch [IV].
b) Press the heating activation button [C], the display will show the current the
temperature PV and last set target temperature SV.
Caution: The device will heat up to the last set temperature automatically, if the user
does not set a new value.
c) Press the "SET" button [E]. The last digit on the right in the SV field will flash.
d) Press "+" or "-" [H or G], to reduce or increase the target temperature. In order to
alternate between the edited digits, press "R/AT" [F].
e) To complete temperature setting, press "SET" [E].
Automatic calibration
a) Switching the device off with I/O [IV], if the measured temperature PV increases
above the set temperature SV.
b) Wait until the device cools to room temperature.
c) Press and hold "R/AT" [F] for 8 seconds.
