MAINTENANCE
Only maintenance works described in
this instruction manual may be carried
out; all other works must be performed
by an official distributor.
Keep all the nuts and screws well
tightened in order to ensure a safe
operation.
If any components or safety devices are
removed for maintenance works, they
must be repositioned immediately.
Use only VITO-approved tools for this
machine or technically identical parts.
Not doing so may result in personal
injuries or damages to the machine. In
case of doubt, you should contact an
official distributor.
2.6 - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
This machine must be repaired only by
the brand official technical service or
by qualified technicians and only with
original replacement parts.
3. ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 - SIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
(FIG.B)
The side handle (5) can be assembled
in two different positions to suit the tool
to the type of work and its user.
1. Insert the side angle tightening screw
in one of the fixing threads on the
gearbox (11);
2. Tighten the side handle clockwise
until it is completely tightened;
3.2 - DISC PROTECTION
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
(FIG.C)
The disc protection can be adjusted
according to the type and position
of work. It must be installed with the
covered side pointing to the user.
1. The disc protection (4) must be
assembled with the fixation flap aligned
with the gearbox head notch (11);
2. Adjust the disc protection according
to the desired work position;
3. Tighten the fixing flap (1). If the
protection isn't properly tightened,
adjust the tightening screw ();
4. To remove the disc protection,
proceed to the reverse order of
assembly;
3.3 - GRINDING DISCS
ASSEMBLY
1. Make sure that the disc protection (4)
is in its place;
2. Place the backing flange (2) in the
rotating shaft. Make sure the flap is
correctly placed in the shaft;
3. Place the disc (3) in the backing
flange. Make sure the disc is correctly
placed;
4. Tighten the locking flange on the
thread of the rotating shaft with the
protruding parts outward.
5. Press the rotation shaft locking
button (10) and spin the disc until it
locks. Keep the locking button pressed
and tighten the locking flange with the
supplied key;
6. Run some tests at full speed to
ensure the correct assembly of the
accessory;
7. To remove the grinding disc, follow
the above steps in the reverse order of
assembly;

assembling the accessories;
3.4 - ASSEMBLY OF THE
ACCESSORIES WITH THREAD
FIXATION (FIG. E)
1. Make sure the disc protection (4) is
in its place;
2. Remove the backing flange (2) and
rotation shaft ( ) locking ( );
3. Tighten the accessory in the rotation
shaft thread;
4. Press the rotation shaft locking
button (10) and spin the accessory (ex.
cup brush or grinding wheel) until it
locks. Keep the locking button pressed
and tighten the accessory;
5. Run some tests at full speed to
ensure the correct assembly of the
accessory;
6. To remove the cutting disc, follow
the above steps in the reverse order of
assembly;
Use protection gloves while
assembling the accessories;
3.5 - BATTERY ASSEMBLY
(FIG. F)
1. Insert the battery (12) in the fitting (7)
and press it until listen to a "click" of the
battery's
locking/unlocking
(13). After this, the battery is correctly
placed;
2. To remove it, press the locking/
unlocking button and pull the battery.

INSTRUCTIONS
When operating the equipment, some
precautions must be considered:
� Hold the equipment with both hands
and with the side handle assembled;
� Do not apply too much pressure
