supply or high pressure compressor (not included in the scope of
delivery) to the breathing air supply connection (Fig.1, Pos.13).
6. Anchor manual pump adapter on the Dräger X-am® 5000 in
accordance with the instructions for use. The calibration adapter
must be fully positioned on the device. The ring of the carrier clip
must not be jammed between the calibration adapter and the
device during the measurement.
7. Take the Dräger X-am® 5000 into commission in accordance with
the instructions for use and in consideration of the additional
information about the handling of the Dräger X-am® 5000 in
conjunction with the Nitrox 200.
8. Ensure the required pressure (maximum 200 bar) of the supply
units.
9. Connect Dräger X-am® 5000 to the analysis connection (Fig.1,
Pos.8).
10. Slowly open the external oxygen supply.
Oxygen is present up to the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
11. Slowly open the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
Oxygen supply is pressurized.
12. Slowly open the gas analysis shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.7).
13. Check the oxygen content with the Dräger X-am® 5000.
The oxygen content must be 100 %.
14. Slowly close the gas analysis shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.7).
15. Slowly close the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
16. Slowly open the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
The Nitrox connection (Fig.1, Pos.3) is depressurized.

During use
WARNING
!
Filling pressure vessels that are not empty can result in
unusable gas mixtures after the filling process.
Pressure vessels must be checked for the gas concentration
and pressure prior to filling. This should be taken into account
during re-filling.
WARNING
!
The display value of the pressure gauge must be visible
during operation to operate the device safely.
1. Remove the screw plug from the Nitrox connection (Fig.1, Pos.3).
2. Connect the pressure vessel that needs to be filled to the Nitrox
connection (Fig.1, Pos.3).
NOTICE
i
i
If the content of the pressure vessel is no longer used, it
should be emptied when depressurized. Follow step 3
through 5.
3. Slowly open the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
4. Slowly open the valve on the pressure vessel that is to be filled.
The pressure vessel that is to be filled is depressurized.
5. Slowly close the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
NOTICE
i
i
When re-using the content of the pressure vessel that is to be
filled, the remaining filling process must be re-calculated
accordingly.
6. Slowly open the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
