Use
7. Monitor the digital gauge (Fig.1, Pos.2) and fill until the required
pressure is reached.
Calculated oxygen pressure has been reached.
8. Slowly close the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
9. Close the valve on the pressure vessel that is to be filled.
10. Open the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9) and close it again after
complete pressure release.
11. Slowly open the breathing air shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.6).
12. Open the pressure vessel valve again.
13. Monitor the digital gauge (Fig.1, Pos.2) and fill until the required
pressure is reached.
The desired pressure (maximum 200 bar) has been reached.
14. Slowly close the breathing air shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.6).
The pressure vessel that is to be filled is filled.
15. Slowly close the valve on the filled pressure vessel.
16. Slowly open the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
The Nitrox connection (Fig.1, Pos.3) is not pressurized.
17. Slowly close the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
18. Slowly open the valve on the filled pressure vessel.
NOTICE
i
i
The length of time it takes to equalize the gas can vary
depending on the size of the pressure vessel and the ratio of
the mixture. If necessary, support the blending process by
taking suitable measures (e.g. rolling the pressure vessel).
19. Slowly open the gas analysis shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.7).
20. Check the oxygen content with the Dräger X-am® 5000.
Oxygen content corresponds to the required ratio.
21. Slowly close the valve on the filled pressure vessel.
22. Slowly close the gas analysis shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.7).
23. Slowly open the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
Display of the digital pressure gauge (Fig.1, Pos.2) drops to 0 bar.
24. Slowly close the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
32
25. Detach and remove the filled pressure vessel from the Nitrox
connection (Fig.1, Pos.3).
26. Repeat the filling process (chapter 4.3, steps 2 to 25) for other
pressure vessels.
4.4
After use
1. Close all valves, including the supply units.
2. Seal the Nitrox connection (Fig.1, Pos.3) using the screw plug.
3. Slowly open the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
4. Slowly open the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
Display of the digital pressure gauge (Fig.1, Pos.2) drops to 0 bar.
5. Slowly close the oxygen shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.10).
6. Slowly open the breathing air shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.6).
Display of the digital pressure gauge (Fig.1, Pos.2) drops to 0 bar.
7. Slowly close the breathing air shut-off valve (Fig.1, Pos.6).
Valves, hoses and Nitrox 200 are not pressurized.
8. Remove supply units from all connections.
9. Use the protective cap to seal the oxygen supply connection
(Fig.1, Pos.12).
10. Use the screw plug to seal the breathing air supply connection
(Fig.1, Pos.13).
11. Store the adapter correctly.
12. Take Dräger X-am® 5000 out of commission.
To do this, press "OK" and the "+" button simultaneously until the
countdown "3...2...1" on the display has finished. Before the device
shuts down, the visual, acoustic, and vibration alarms are
activated for a short period of time. After the device is switched off,
the batteries need to remain in the device. Otherwise, a warm-up
time for the sensor of about 1 hour must be anticipated for a new
commissioning of the measuring device.
13. Remove Dräger X-am® 5000 from the analysis connection (Fig.1,
Pos.8).
14. Slowly close the relief valve (Fig.1, Pos.9).
