5.
Press the ON/OFF switch (2) to the on position "I". Turn the THERMOSTAT dial
EN
(1) clockwise to the desired cooking temperature (0°C to 190°C). The green
TEMPERATURE indicator light (4) will turn off to show the appliance is heating the
oil. Wait 10 to 15 minutes until the appliance has reached the set temperature. The
green TEMPERATURE indicator light (4) will turn on when the set temperature has
been reached.
6.
Press the LID OPEN button (5) and lift up the lid. Place the food items into the frying
basket (6). Slowly lower the frying basket (6) into the oil. Shut the lid (7) (until it
clicks into place) to prevent oil splashes. Look through the window (8) to check the
cooking status of the food.
Note:
(1) During the cooking process, the green TEMPERATURE indicator light (4)
may turn on and off several times. This indicates that the appliance is turning
the heating plate on and off in order to maintain the cooking temperature at
the selected level.
(2) The appliance may emit a large amount of steam at the beginning of the
cooking process. This is due to the water content of the food and water on
the surface of the food. Careful, the steam may escape from the gap between
the lid and the oil tank.
7.
Once the food is cooked, open the lid carefully. Lift up the frying basket and fix it
onto the front lip of the oil tank in the oil draining position. To further remove oil from
the food, tip the ingredients onto absorbent towel (kitchen towel).
8.
After cooking, turn the THERMOSTAT dial (1) to the off position "0" and press the
ON/OFF button (2) to the off position "O". Keep the lid (7) up and place the frying
basket (6) in the oil draining position. Unplug the appliance and wait for 2-3 hours
for it to cool down.
9.
Clean the appliance after each use (see "CLEANING AND CARE" in section 6).
Note: The appliance does not have a dry burn protection function. Never let
the oil go below the minimum mark otherwise you will damage it.
RISK OF FIRE: Overheated oil can ignite very quickly. Never leave heating
oil unsupervised. Should the oil ignite, do not try to put it out by pouring
water on it. Cover the fryer with the lid and/or fire blanket immediately.
Turn off and unplug the appliance.
Note: Only add oil to the oil tank. Do not pour in other liquids such as milk or
coffee.
Warning: Do not add water, wet foods or icy frozen foods to the appliance
because this will cause the oil to splatter and can lead to injuries. Do not
touch any metal surfaces of the appliance as they are hot and can cause
burns.
6. CLEANING AND CARE
Warning:
Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or base in water or any other liquids as they
contain electrical components. Do not rinse them under the tap.
