If the vehicle is not equipped with the Start-Stop function (PR 7L3) - the insulated grey/
white wire at the black terminal board of the towing coupling electric installation harness
remains functionless (insulated).
If the vehicle is equipped with the Start-Stop function (PR 7L6) - release catiously the
insulated grey/white wire at the black terminal board of the towing coupling electric installa-
tion harness and plug it into the black terminal board on PIN 2. Wiring of the terminal boards

is shown on Fig. 11.
Perform the wiring of the towing coupling electric installation harness in the front part
of the vehicle (instrument panel, fuse panel, light switch) as shown on related Fig. 12.
Pay attention to the equipment and correct distinction of the vehicle date of manu-
facture, according to the wires fitted in the fuse box on position 19A:

Electric installation harness of the vehicle - fuse box position 19A - green/brown wire of
section 0.35 mm

If the above specified wire is on this position, it is a vehicle manufactured before CW 22/2011,
and you need to power it from the light switch PIN 15.
Vehicle manufactured after CW 22 /2011
Electric installation harness of the vehicle - fuse box position 19A - red wire of section

If the above specified wire is on this position, it is a vehicle manufactured after CW 22/2011,
and you need to power it from the fuse box on position 19A (in front of the fuse).
Assembly procedure
The mounting and wiring of the towing coupling electric installation set is identical for left
and right steering of the vehicle. For vehicles with right steering, the pictures 13-17 are mirror
inverted.
Have the car battery disconnected during the fitting (when a coded car radio is in the car,
find out its code first).
Accordingly with the Workshop Manual, remove:
- trunk threshold panel,
- left side lining of the trunk,
- left upper panel of the D-pillar,
- rear seats and rear seat holders,
- panel of the central bracket,
- front right seat,
- side guard of the dashboard on the driver' s side,
- light switch (only in vehicles manufactured by CW 22 /2011),
- instrument panel (only in vehicles without the Start-Stop function).
Release the fuse panel and remove the BCM board network control unit.
Release the carpet near the left rear door from the sill moulding.
In vehicles Škoda Praktik (5J8) additionally dismantle:
- partition N1,
- in the luggage compartment, the electric installation guards at the left rear wheel housing
and the left rear fastening lug for load.
