LED LIGHT OF THE CONTROL KNOBS
• Before the device is first used, a 9 V battery 6F22 (not supplied
with the device) must be inserted into the battery compart-
ment (E) for the LED light of the control knobs:
The battery compartment is located in the left side panel. Open
it and insert the battery. Pay attention to the correct polarity
(+/- ). Then close the battery compartment.
• The light is switched on and off again using the On/Off but-
ton (D).
• Always switch off the light when the device is not in use.
POSITIONING THE GAS CYLINDER
During Barbecuing
Place the gas cylinder next to the barbecue while it is in use. Do not
leave it in the base cabinet during barbecuing.
After Barbecuing
When the barbecue is switched off, the gas cylinder can be stored
in the base cabinet provided it does not exceed the specified maxi-
mum dimensions (see page 3).
Place the gas cylinder in the recess that is provided for it in the base
plate (12).

Putting the Barbecue into Operation
PLEASE NOTE!
WARNING! Open the lid during the ignition process.
WARNING! Do not lean over the grill surface while igniting the
burners.
1. Open the lid of the barbecue unit (1) or the side burner (29).
2. Open the gas supply on the gas cylinder.
3. Each burner is equipped with its own ignition system and so can
be ignited individually:
○ Main burner (A): Press the control knob of a main burner,
hold it pressed down and turn it anticlockwise to the Max
position. You will hear a loud clicking noise, this is the piezo
ignition.
○ Side burner (B):Press the control knob of a side burner,
hold it pressed down and turn it anticlockwise to the Max
position. Press the electronic ignition knob (C). You will hear a
clicking noise.
4. Check whether the burner has been ignited. To do this, carefully
look through the grill rack (3, 4) to see whether flames are
emerging from the burner.
5. If the burner has not been ignited, press the control knob and
turn it back to the OFF position. Wait for 5 minutes to allow the
gas in the burner chamber to dissipate. Then repeat the ignition
process.
6. If the burner has ignited, repeat the steps listed above for the
rest of the burners.
Notice About the Side Burner
• On the side burner you should only ever use cookware that is
suitable for use on gas hobs.
• To ensure that the cookware is stable and secure, the diameter
must be no smaller than specified:
min. diameter

Taking the Barbecue Out of Operation
1. Close the gas supply on the gas cylinder.
2. Press the control knob (A, B) and turn it clockwise to the OFF
position.

Take out the batteries when you will not be using the bar-
becue for a prolonged period to prevent damage caused by
the batteries leaking.
