3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
The airbag vest should only be used in temperatures between -10 °C (14 °F) and
+ 45 °C (113 °F). Prolonged exposure of the airbag vest to temperatures outside this
range may damage it and affect its function.
Do not modify or remove any part of the airbag vest.
Do not sew or stick (heat transfer,...) anything to the airbag vest.
Do not carry sharp objects (such as keys, knives, screwdrivers) in your pockets that
could damage the airbag.
Remove any piercings in the area covered by the airbag.
Anything worn on the airbag vest can slow down or prevent the airbag from
inflating, as well as put a lot of pressure on the areas covered by the airbag.
Do not shake or hit the CDU electronic card when using the airbag, as this will
cause unexpected triggers.
4. BEFORE FIRST USE
a) Recharge the battery of airbag vest
Before using the airbag vest for the first time, we recommend that you fully
recharge the battery (see page 31).
b) Check the e-cartridge connection
Before using the airbag vest for the first time, please check that the cartridge is
connected to the CDU electronic card. Open the airbag vest. Then unhook the
velcro that holds the foam chest protector and the e-cartridge together. Check the
connection of the e-cartridge: connector in the right direction and locked.
c) Select your detection mode: race track or road
