Steam cleaner Use instructions
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
• This appliance is equipped with a temperature-limiting thermostat, a thermofuse and a
safety filler cap. Construction complies with EU regulations relating to domestic applian-
ces.
• Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, ensure that the voltage shown on
the rating plate matches the local voltage supply.
• Always connect the appliance to an earthed socket.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to the weather (rain, sun, etc.).
• Never direct the steam jet towards people, animals or devices that contain electrical parts. (e.g.
oven interiors)
• Do not immerse the cleaner in water or other liquids.
• Always turn off the appliance by operating switch and unplug it before refilling.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. When it is not in use always lock the steam supply
button using the safety slider.
• To avoid damaging the appliance or making it unsafe, never introduce descalers, detergents, aro-
matic or alcoholic products into the boiler tank.
• CAUTION: danger of burns.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces during use. Allow the accessories to cool down before changing
them.
• DO NOT OPEN THE SAFETY CAP DURING USE.
• WARNING: Follow these steps before unscrewing cap:
- Turn off the cleaner by operating button
- Unplug the appliance and allow pressure to fall by pressing button.
- Slowly start to unscrew the filler cap, wait a few seconds, then unscrew it completely.
• When first using the appliance or after a long pause, direct the jet into a container.
• Do not use the appliance if it is damaged. To avoid all risks, any repairs, including the replacement
of the power cable, must be carried out by an Beper Customer Service or an Beper authorized
technician.
• Before using the appliance, ensure that the objects, surfaces and fabrics to be cleaned are resi-
stant to or compatible with the high temperature of the steam.
In particular, follow the directions provided by the manufacturer and carry out a test on a hidden
part or a sample before using the appliance on terracotta floors, wooden surfaces or delicate fabrics
such as silk and velvet.
• The use of tap water is recommended, provided it is not too hard. Otherwise use demineralised
water.
• WARNING: DO NOT USE THE GLASS-CLEANING BRUSH IF THE SURFACE TO BE CLEANED
IS VERY COLD. The change in temperature could cause the glass to crack. At times when tempera-
tures are particularly low, preheat the glass by directing steam over the whole surface to be treated
from a distance of about 40 cm.
• The product has been designed for domestic, not industrial, use.
• This appliance must only be used for the purpose intended, and in the manner described in the
instructions for use. Any other use is considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. The manu-
facturer can accept no responsibility for damage caused by improper use.
