maintenance
For optimal performance, keep spare parts on hand. Replace
at the first sign of wear or if you pump less milk than expected.
It is normal for pump parts to lose elasticity and wear over time
with use, washing, and sanitizing. Here is a guide for pump
maintenance.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Action
Make sure fresh, brand-name batteries are
installed correctly (PAGE 7).
If using batteries, adapter cord must be re-
moved from pump for batteries to work.
Plug AC adapter into known functioning
wall outlet. Test outlet with other electrical
devices.
Try operating pump with fresh, brand-name
batteries.
Remove batteries before using AC adapter.
Clean the valve and reassemble, per step 1 in
Assembling Your Breast Pump section (Page
6).
Stimulate your milk release with massage
and hand expression before placing pump to
breast (PAGE 9).
Turn the control dial counterclockwise for
lower suction (page 10).
Firmly snap motor onto flange (pAGE 6).
Once motor is firmly snapped into place, hold
pump by flange (page 6).
Properly install diaphragm. (STEP 2 Page 6)
Disconnect motor, reseat diaphragm, and
reattach motor (page 6)
Check diaphragm for signs of wear, holes,
cracks, etc. Replace damaged components.
Attach the valve firmly to flange (Page 6).
Replace membrane or ensure that it is
connected properly to the valve (Page 6).
Follow cleaning instructions (Page 11). Pay
