Installation Precaution
Warning
● Observe all governing codes and ordinances.
● Do not use damaged or non-standard power cord.
● Be cautious during the installation and maintenance. Incorrect operation should be
avoided to prevent electric shock, possible casualties and other accidents.
Selection of Installation Location
Basic requirement
Installing this unit according to the following is not suggested.
1. Near areas with strong heat sources, vapors, flammable or explosive gases.
2. Near an area with high-frequency devices (for example welding machines, medical equipment
etc.).
3. Near an area with oil fumes.
4. Near an area with sulfured gas.
5. Other areas of similar situations.
Requirement of air conditioner
1. The air inlet should be distant and free from any obstacles, as this may affect the efficiency of the
device as well as prevent the overheating of the compressor and its elements.
2. It is advised to select an area where the noise and the outflow air emitted from the exhaust pipe,
will not affect others.
3. It is advised, this unit operates away from any fluorescent lamps.
4. This appliance is not intended to be installed in a laundry room.
Electrical Connection Requirements
Safety precaution
1. The electrical safety regulations should be taken under consideration when installing this unit.
2. According to the local safety regulations, use qualified power supply circuit.
3. For appliances with a type Y attachment, there should be clear instructions regarding. If the supply
cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified
personnel in order to avoid any hazards.
4. The power, neutral and grounding cables of the socket must be properly connected.
5. Be certain prior to any electrical handling, that the main power supply is switched OFF.
6. Do not power ON the device prior to completing the installation.
7. This device is rated as an energy class A electric appliance. Electric shock may be caused if not
properly grounded. It is advised to seek help from a professional if needed.
8. The yellow-green wire or plain green wire is the grounding wire. This wire can not be used for any
other purposes other than grounding.
9. The grounding resistance should comply with national electric safety regulations.
10. The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.
