Problem

8. Spare parts
Only use ORIGINAL RÖHM spare parts or
components obtained from authorised RÖHM
suppliers. RÖHM GmbH does not accept and
liability for damage resulting from the employ-
ment of parts supplied by other manufacturers.
For simple ordering of spare parts or individual
components always state the 6-digit ID number
engraved on the assembly and, if available, the
works number. This comprises a letter with two
digits and possibly a series number, stated ei-
ther on the rating plate or next to the ID number.
Cause
¯ reference setting is incorrect
¯ clamping set lock nut has come
loose
¯ wrong clamping set has been
installed (see tool standards)
¯ wrong or faulty tool draw-in bolt
¯ spindle has wrong or faulty in-
ternal profile
¯ broken or worn disc springs
¯ tool is not "tracking"
¯ non-existent or insufficient unc-
lamping force available
¯ defective unclamp unit
¯ fretting rust on the steep taper
¯ segmented collet clamp or
clamping set broken
¯ drawbar or drawbar extension
broken
¯ draw-in bolt or steep taper
shank is broken
¯ centripetal force too low, force
transmission of built-in clamp
not in clamping range
Remedy
¯ see Point 5.4: Assembly of clamping set
¯ as above
¯ check the built-in parts and replace if necessary

¯ test and insert tool changer
¯ increase unclamping pressure to max. permitted
pressure
¯ test or replace unclamp unit
