CONNECTING YOUR WIFI ENABLED
OVEN
Your oven is designed t o provide you wit h t wo- way
communicat ion bet ween your appliance and smart device.
By using t he Smart HQ mobile app, you will be able t o cont rol
essent ial oven operat ions such as t emperat ure set t ings and
cooking modes using your smart phone or t ablet .*
What you will need
Your oven uses your exist ing home WiFi net work t o
communicat e bet ween t he appliance and your smart device.
In order t o set up your oven, you will need t o gat her some
informat ion:
1. Each oven has a connect ed appliance informat ion label
t hat includes an Appliance Net work Name and Password.
These are t he t wo import ant det ails t hat you will need
t o connect t o t he appliance. This informat ion is found
on a label t ypically locat ed inside t he door of t he oven or
drawer or in t he WiFi Set t ings menu on t he unit display.

2. Have your smart phone or t ablet ready wit h t he abilit y t o
access t he int ernet and download apps.
3. You will need t o know t he password of your home WiFi
rout er. Have t his password ready while you are set t ing up
your oven.
Connect your oven
1. On your smart phone or t ablet visit
GEAppliances.com/ connect t o learn more about
connect ed appliance feat ures and t o download t he
Smart HQ mobile app.
2. Follow t he app onscreen inst ruct ions t o connect your
oven.
3. Once t he process is complet e, t he connect ion blue light
will st ay on and t he app will confirm you are connect ed.
4. If t he connect ion light does not t urn on, follow t he
inst ruct ions on t he app t o reconnect . If issues cont inue
please call at 800.220.6899 and ask for assist ance
regarding oven wireless connect ivit y.
To connect addit ional smart devices, repeat st eps 1 and 2.
