Make sure that all persons (in particular children) and/or animals remain outside this zone. In general, avoid using the hedge trimmer whenever people (in particular children) are nearby.

  • Página 9 CONNECTING THE TRIMMER UNIT TO THE POLE Important: Make sure that the engine is turned off, and remove the spark plug cap before assembling the pole hedge trimmer. The engine has been designed to use environment- friendly DOLMAR 2-stroke oil, which is to be mixed at a ratio of 50:1.   • Página 11 PRECAUTIONS BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE - At all times allow a 15-meter diameter safety zone around the working area. Make sure that all persons (in particular children) and/or animals remain outside this zone. - Before using the pole hedge trimmer, make sure that the machine is in safe operational condition.
  • Página 12 STOPPING THE ENGINE 1. Release the throttle lever. 2. Push the I-O switch to the "O" position (5) to stop the engine. CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE IDLING SPEED The cutter blades of the pole hedge trimmer should not move when the throttle lever is released.
  • Página 13 OPERATING THE POLE HEDGE TRIMMER - When working with the pole hedge trimmer, firmly grasp the handles with both hands. - Do not touch the cutter blade portion of the pole hedge trimmer during operation, or when the engine is running. - Take extra care not to inhale exhaust gases when working with the pole hedge trimmer.
  • Página 14 Adjustment of cutting angle 1. Stop the pole hedge trimmer engine and lay the machine on the ground. 2. To adjust the angle of the cutter unit, loosen the clamp lever located at the top of the cutter unit by turning it counter-clockwise. 3.
  • Página 15 Blade adjustments Extended use of the pole hedge trimmer will gradually wear down the blades. Readjust the blades if cutting performance deteriorates noticeably. For adjustment of the blades follow the instructions below. 1. Release nut ①. 2. Tighten screw ② lightly until resistance is felt. Then turn the screw in the opposite direction for a quarter or half turn.
  • Página 16 Adding grease and lubricant - The gearbox of the pole hedge trimmer should be greased every 20 working hours. Add approx. 10cc of lubricant (Shell Alvania No. 3 or equivalent) to the gearbox via the grease nipples. (Some grease will emerge from the head of the Grease nipple gearbox (located at the base of the blade) when the pole hedge trimmer is set in motion the first time after greasing.

Unsachgemäße Bedienung dieses Gerätes kann schwerwiegende Verletzungen zur Folge haben! - Wenn der Hoch-Heckenschere ausgeliehen wird, muss die fachgerechte Bedienungsweise ausführlich erklärt werden.

  • Página 44 MOTOR ABSTELLEN 1. Lassen Sie den Gashebel los. 2. Bringen Sie den Start(I)/Stopp(O)-Schalter in die “STOPP”-Stellung "O". LEERLAUF ÜBERPRÜFEN UND EINSTELLEN Die Schermesser des Hoch-Heckenscheres dürfen sich nicht bewegen, wenn sich der Motor im Leerlauf dreht. - Die Mindestdrehzahl (Leerlauf) sollte bei 3000 min liegen.
  • Página 45 BETRIEB DES HOCH-HECKENSCHERES - Halten Sie den Hoch-Heckenschere bei der Arbeit stets mit beiden Händen fest. - Berühren Sie unter keinen Umständen den Messerbalken, wenn der Hoch- Heckenschere in Betrieb ist, oder der Motor läuft. - Vermeiden Sie es, die Abgase des Hoch-Heckenscheres einzuatmen. Betreiben Sie den Hoch-Heckenschere niemals in einem geschlossenen Raum, oder einem Umfeld mit unzureichender Belüftung (Erstickungs- und/oder Vergiftungsgefahr).
  • Página 46 Einstellung des Schnittwinkels 1. Schalten Sie den Motor des Hoch-Heckenscheres ab und legen Sie das Gerät auf den Boden. 2. Damit der Schnittwinkel des Messerbalkens eingestellt werden kann, muss Klemmhebel Festziehen zuerst der Klemmhebel am oberen Ende der Schneideeinheit gegen den Uhrzeigersinn gelöst werden.
  • Página 47 Schermesser-Justierung Da die Schermesser sich bei konstantem Gebrauch allmählich abnützen, verringert sich die Schnittleistung des Hoch-Heckenscheres mit der Zeit spürbar. Sollte sich die Schnittleistung erheblich verschlechtert haben, können die Schermesser justiert werden. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor: 1. Mutter ① lösen. 2.
  • Página 48 Schmierung des Getriebekastens - Der Getriebekasten des Hoch-Heckenscheres muss alle 20 Betriebsstunden geschmiert werden. Geben Sie etwa 10 ccm Schmierfett (Shell Alvania Nr. 3 Schmiernippel oder gleichwertig) über die Schmiernippel in den Getriebekasten. Falls bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme am Kopfstück des Getriebekastens (Basis des Schermessers) etwas Schmierfett heraustritt, kann angenommen werden, dass eine ausreichende Menge Schmierfetts hinzugegeben wurde.
  • Página 49 LAGERUNG Falls der Hoch-Heckenschere über längere Zeit gelagert werden soll, gehen Sie wie folgt vor: - Kraftstofftank entleeren und Restkraftstoff aus dem Vergaser entfernen. - Schrauben Sie die Zündkerze ab und geben Sie einige Tropfen Öl in die Öffnung Benzin entleeren für die Kerze.
