7. Turn off the power of the measured circuit and discharge all the high-voltage capacitors. Remove the test
leads and recover the measured circuit.
 Software
The multimeter has a serial data output function. The optical output can be connected to a USB port on your PC
so the measured data can be recorded, analyzed, processed and printed. Install the software first by inserting the
included CD-ROM into the drive. Install both the software and the USB files. Follow the installation procedure.
 Hold Hz/DUTY pressed while switching on the meter. The PC-LINK symbol is displayed (remember to only
activate the function starting from a switched-off meter, so first switch off the meter prior to enabling the
function).
 Next, insert the optical plug into the multimeter and connect the USB plug with a free USB port.
 Launch the PC-LINK software and click the SET menu and SYSTEM SET.
 Select the proper COM port in the SERIAL PORT SELECT menu:
o Right click My Computer on your computer's desktop and click Properties
o Click the Hardware tab and click Device Manager
o Scroll through the list and select COM x (x being the port number)
 Select the default or a desired sampling rate.
 Press START in the software to measure and view the data.
 Switch off the multimeter first to deactivate the function.
Use the help function in the software for more information.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Do not attempt to repair or service your multimeter unless you are qualified to do so and have the relevant
calibration, performance test and service information.
a. General Maintenance
To avoid electrical shock and/or damage to the instrument, do not get water inside the case.
Remove the test leads and any input signals before opening the case.
Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Clean the terminals:
 Turn the meter off and remove all test leads.
 Shake out any dirt that may be in the terminals.
 Soak a new cotton bud with a cleaning and oiling agent and clean the terminal.
b. Fuse Replacement
Before fuse replacement, disconnect all test leads and/or ant connectors from any circuit
under test. To avoid damage to the instrument, replace the fuse only with specified ratings.
 Set the rotary switch to the OFF position.
 Disconnect all test leads and/or any connectors from the terminals.
 Open the battery compartment using an appropriate screwdriver.
 Remove the fuse by sliding it out of its bracket.
 Install a replacement fuse (F10A/600V, Ø 6.3 x 32mm and F750mA/600V, Ø 5 x 20mm).
 Close the battery compartment.
