The bar with article number 4500194 (Einhell) is a
modifi ed Oregon model with a tip guard. It is only
available as a replacement cutter rail under article
number 4500194.
Please only use batteries and chargers from the
Power X-Change series, e.g. 1.5 Ah to 5.2 Ah
batteries and the 3A Power X charger.

5. Before starting the equipment
Warning!
Always remove the battery before making
adjustments to the equipment.
Danger! Do not fi t the battery until the chain saw
has been fully assembled and the chain tension
has been set. Always wear protective gloves
when working on the chain saw to protect yourself
against injury.
5.1 Assembly of the bar and saw chain
Carefully unpack all parts and check that they
are complete (Fig. 2-3).
Undo the chain tension lock knob (9) of the
chain wheel cover (Fig. 4).
Take off the chain wheel cover (8) (Fig. 5).
Lay the chain (18) as shown in the groove
which runs around the bar (17) (Fig. 6/Item A).
Insert the bar and chain as shown into the
mounting of the cordless chain saw. As you
do so, guide the chain around the chain
sprocket (Fig. 7 and 8/ Item B).
Attach the chain wheel cover and secure
it with the chain tension lock knob (9) (Fig.
9). Important! Do not fully tighten the chain
tension lock knob until after you have
adjusted the chain tension (see section 5.2).
5.2 Tensioning the saw chain
Warning! Always disconnect battery before
performing any checks or adjustments. Always
wear protective gloves when working on the chain
saw to protect yourself against injury.
Undo the chain tension lock knob (9) of the
chain wheel cover a few turns (Fig. 4).
Adjust the chain tension with the chain
tensioning knob (Fig. 10/ Item 10). Turning
the knob clock-wise increases the tension,
turning it counterclockwise decreases the
chain tension. The saw chain is correctly
tensioned if it can be lifted around 0.12"-0.16"
(3-4 mm) in the middle of the bar (Fig. 10).
Tighten the chain tension lock knob (9) of the
chain wheel cover (Fig. 9).
Danger! All of the chain links must lie
properly in the guide groove of the bar.
Notes on tensioning the chain:
The saw chain must be properly tensioned to
ensure safe operation. You can tell that the chain
tension is properly adjusted if the saw chain
can be lifted by around 0.12"-0.16" (3-4 mm) in
