USE
This steam generator offers 2 options: dry ironing or steam ironing. Follow the instructions below. Also
carefully read the ironing tips at the end of this section before using the appliance.
DRY IRONING
1.
Place the iron on the thermal insulation pads of the steam generator.
2.
Put the plug into the outlet and press the on/off button. The on/off indication light will start flashing.
3.
Select the desired temperature with the temperature dial, according to the kind of fabric that needs
to be ironed. The temperature indicator will light up and the iron will start heating up.
4.
When the temperature indicator goes out, the selected temperature has been reached. You can now
start ironing.
Caution: Never touch the hot soleplate!
5. LEANING AND MAINTENANCE
STEAM IRONING
Caution: do not plug in the appliance yet at this point.
1.
Take the water reservoir of the steam generator by the handle and pull the water tank out of the
generator. Fill the water tank with water. Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum level (1.8
L). Use only mains water or 50 % mains water and 50 % de-mineralised water if you have hard water.
2.
Place the water tank back into the steam generator. Caution: if the reservoir is not replaced properly,
the machine will not produce any steam.
3.
Put the plug into the outlet and press the on/off button. Set the temperature dial to the desired
temperature, according to the kind of fabric, and the temperature indicator will light up.
4.
The water in the water reservoir will heat up and after a few minutes the temperature light will go
out. This means that the steam generator has reached the correct temperature.
5.
Selection of the amount of steam is done with the steam selection button. The steam indication
light of the amount selected will light up blue. If the appliance is still heating up, the light will flash.
6.
To iron with steam, press the steam button on the inside of the iron's handle. A continuous flow of
steam will come out of the sole. When you release the button, you will iron dry, without steam.
7.
Use a steam boost to get rid of stubborn wrinkles. Press the steam button twice in rapid succession.
There is a 15-second wait in order to use the steam boost a 2nd time. Please note: the steam amount
must be set to medium or high. Select this amount with the steam selection button.

Please note:

Do not touch the hot sole of the iron!

Never aim steam at people!
9.
After ironing, press and hold the on-off button for a few seconds to turn the appliance off. All
indications lights will turn off. Remove the plug from the socket. Allow the appliance to cool
completely.
10. If you have do not use the steam button or the buttons on the control panel for 10 minutes, the
appliance will turn off automatically. This is a safety feature in case you forget to turn the iron off.
