1. INTRODUCTION
WARNING: The W-3511 LASER is a dangerous machine to
work with.
To avoid dangerous situations it is extremely important to
work fully concentrated and always keep good view on the
work area.
While working long time or in repetitive way, the concentration
can weaken. To avoid this take pauses on a regular base.
Before using the machine; please read the operation manual
and the enclosed general safety advices for electrical driven
machines and always keep these with the machine.
The W-3511 LASER wall-saw machine is a handy tool to cut
brick walls, concrete walls and floors with the help of diamond
blades.
This machine is not suitable for continuous use. For this
purpose we suggest to use a professional wall-saw machine
on rail. The W-3511 LASER wall-saw machine can be used
with water-cooling, dry with dust-extraction or with water-
cooling and direct extraction.

2.2 Isolation
The W-3511 LASER wall-saw is electrically wired according to
the European safety regulation. This is a Class 1 machine; to
create a safe working area the machine must be connected to
a grounded wall socket. Not following this advice can lead to
dangerous situations when cutting into a (hidden) cable or
water tube.
2.3 Sound level
The level of the sound pressure for machines, developed for
cutting stone and similar materials, depends on a lot of
factors: type of blade, the material to be cut, the use of water.
The typical sound pressure is 93 dB(A) with a margin of 3
dB(A).
WEAR EAR PROTECTION
This value is according the EN IEC 60745-1
2.4 Suppress
The machine is radio suppressed according to the EU-
directive 76/889/EEG, 82/449/EEG.
2.5 Vibration
The measured average of the gear is according to EN-50144
2,75 m/S², this value is according the EN ISO 60745-1
regulation.
WARNING: By long lasting use the user can become tired
because of the vibrations. So please take a short break after
every 30 minutes.

2.6 Laser guide
The W-3511 is equipped with a laser guide integrated in the
blade guard. The laser is activated as soon as the on/off
switch is pressed and the saw blade starts rotating. The laser
shows as a red line on wall "in front of the machine" and
indicates the cutting line.
The visibility of the laser can be increased by wearing special
"laser" goggles (info at your Carat dealer). The laser is class 2
/ 1mW and approved for use on hand held machines.
3. SAFETY
The W-3511 laser may only be connected to the voltage
which is stated on the serial plate and only works with 1-
phase AC voltage. The machine is insulated according to
European Guidelines and consequently may only be used via
a trip switch (PRCD) with an under voltage safety level of < 10
mA on an earthed electrical mains.
Only use diamond blades. It is strictly forbidden to use other
blades, like circular woods blades, because the extra
necessary protection fails. Use no deformed, damaged or bad
cutting blades.
For further use of the machine please check the protections
for proper functioning. In case of detecting damages of the
case or other parts, these need to be repaired or replaced by
a professional service department. Don't use other equipment
which can not be faultless switched on and off.
When using, please hold the machine with both hands.
It is not allowed to use the machine by persons younger than
18 years.
4. MOUNTING THE DIAMOND BLADE
Necessary tools:

A
To install the blade follow next steps:
Disconnect from the electricity supply.
Loose the bottom screw of the metal cover plate and
push the plate away.
Loose the adjusting knob of the height setting (B)
Move the motor until the flange with bolt centers before
the hole.
Loose the bolt (C) with the delivered socked head
wrench and remove the flange. It is possible that bolt C
stucked, in case of that use a pin or screwdriver between
the tooting of the diamond blade to block it.
