3 Overview
Class "B" autoclaves are widely used for medical applications, odontologist, veterinary
and, generally speaking, to sterilize loads that could be in contact with blood, as "tat-
too" and piercing centres, beauty centres, hairdresser, etc...
Class "B" autoclaves assures the properly sterilization for different types of standarized
loads: solids, wrapped solids, porous, wrapped porous and hollow devices. To get the
sterilization Autester ST DRY PV, uses fraction vacuum system to get an effi cient air
removal from the load and allows a perfect steam penetration.
The AUTESTER ST DRY PV Class B includes the following features:
- Stainless steel sterilization chamber.
- External cover with epoxy coat.
- Steam generator external from the chamber.
- Digital control.
- Vacuum leakage and Bowie-Dick qualifi cation/diagnostic programs.
- LCD graphic display.
- Filtered air incoming.
- Separated clean/used water tanks.
- RS-232 output for printer connection.
To warranty the load sterilization, the proper program must be used as indicated in
this instructions manual.
3.1 Autoclave "Class B"
Standard loads for autoclave Class B:
•
Solids temperature resistant: Metallic tools, tools.
•
Solids temperature sensitive: Plastic devices.
•
Wrapped solids.
•
Porous: textiles
•
Wrapped porous.
•
Hollow devices, as catheter, tubes and devices.
This autoclave cannot be used for liquid sterilization.
3.2 Programs
The autoclave includes 4 sterilization programs and 2 for validation and diagnostics.
Also one program for "Prions" processing is included.
