5.3 Safety devices
The vacuum cleaner has been manufactured in
compliance with all applicable standards for
the operator's safety.
- All metal components are grounded to
eliminate shock or electrostatic discharge,
including the fl exible suction hose that is
properly grounded.
- The vacuum cleaner is mounted on tough
pivoting nylon wheels, two of which with
brakes to safely stop the machine in its place
of use.
Before start up always verify that no damage
occurred during handling and check that all
guards are correctly positioned and fully
effi cient.
6 - SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS
- Become familiar with the contents of this
manual before starting, using, servicing or
operating the vacuum in any way
- Check that the vacuum cleaner hasn't been
hurt or damaged
- Never start the machine if it is faulty
- Always verify that the switch hasn't been
hurt or damaged
- Use safety clothes and gears in order to
prevent accidents. Don't approach the suction
intake of the machine with unfastened
garments that could be easily sucked in
- Make sure that the fi lters are installed and
effi cient
- While using the machine or in course of
maintenance, always adopt the safety
measures related to the working place.

- Never ever carry out repairs on the machine
without the manufacturer's authorization.
- Never ever use gasoline, solvents or
other fl ammable liquids for cleaning. Only
detergents.
- To raise and transport the vacuum use the
machine carrier handle fi xed on the head.:
never move the vacuum by pulling the power
cable or the fl ex hose.
- Never turn the mouth of the fl ex. hose
towards people or animals.
- Protect the vacuum cleaner from the rain
Check that the powering voltage of the socket
to which you will connect the machine is the
one indicated on the data plate.
Make sure that the power cable has no
abrasions or damages: if you have to substitute
cables, always replace it with another with
the same specifi cations and of the approved
type. Non-homologated cables or cables with a
lower section may overheat and cause serious
injury, including death, to the operator.
- Make sure that the electrical connections
always contain an effi cient grounding socket
- Repairs
must only be carried out by
skilled personnel and when the machine
is at standstill and disconnected from the
electricity supply
- Never allow unauthorized personnel to work
on the vacuum
- Before using the machine make sure
that all safety devices are working in the
correct way.
