WARNING
Checks and services must be performed only by trained or skilled
operators.
· Before any operation on the compressor, disconnect the plug from the
socket.
· Be aware that compressor motor head and its outlet hose can get high
temperature. Do not touch these parts to avoid the risk of thermal shock.
· Empty air tank of air before dismantling any part of compressor unit's
pressure system.
5.1 The compressor does not start
· a) No power from mains. Check fuses and socket.
· b) Damaged or loose joints in electrical connections. Refer to your dealer for the elec-
trical circuit control.
· c) Pressure in air tank over the cut-in level of pressure switch. The pressure switch en-
ergizes the motor only when pressure has dropped to the cut-in level.
· d) Defective capacitor. Refer to your dealer for replacing it.
· e) The therrmal protector has switched off the compressor due to overheating. When
cooled, the compressor will automatically turn on.
5.2 The compressor does not reach the maximum pressure
· a) Check for any air leak (See point 5.6).
· b) Check the pressure switch efficency and if necessary adjust it (See point 2.4).
· c) Air intake filter clogged. Clean it by compressed air or replace it.
5.3 The compressor works, but pressure does not increase in tank (or increases too
slowly)
· a) Air intake filter clogged. Clean it by compressed air or replace it.
· b) Check for any air leak (See point 5.6).
· c) The defect can be due to the failure of a motor valve or gasket. Refer to your dealer
for the replacing the damaged component.
5.4 The compressor starts even when no air is being tapped
· a) Check for any air leak (See point 5.6).
· b) Leaky non-return valve. Take off the flexible hose from the valve and check the
presence of an air leak. In case of leaky valve, unscrew the valve cap (Fig.5 item 1),
clean the rubber disk (item 2) and its seat by a dry cloth and reassembly all the parts
with care. If the leakage is not solved, refer to your dealer for replacing the valve.
5.5 The compressor stops while working
· The motor is equipped with an automatic resettable thermal protection, that stops the
compressor when the inside temperature is too high. The compressor will start again
automatically after 15/20 minutes. Check the room temperature does not exceed 40°C
and the compressor ventilation is adequate.
