Leaking foot valve,
Pipe size too small.
Air leaks,
Water level below suction pipe inlet.
Impeller is plugged.
Foot valve is stuck shut.
Pipes are frozen.

DISCONNECT POWER. Replace fuse or reset circuit
breaker.
Check voltage being supplied to pump.
New installation:

2.
Check all connections on suction line, with soapy
water or shaving cream.

Replace foot valve.
4.
Re-pipe using pipe the same size as suction and
discharge ports on pump.
Existing installation:
1.
Check all connections on suction line and shaft seal
with soapy water.
2.
Lower suction line into water and re-prime. If the
water level is more than 25' (7.6M) below the pump, a
deep well pump is needed.
Either status:
1.
Clean foot valve and strainer.
2.
Replace the foot valve.
3.
Thaw pipes.
4.
Raise foot valve and/or strainer above bottom of
water source. Clean foot valve and strainer.
1.
A deep well jet will be needed if your well is more than
25' (7.6M) depth to water.
2.
Replace with plastic or new steel pipe
3.
Re-pipe using pipe the same size as suction and
discharge ports on pump.
4.
Inlet pipe is too small
