TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
•
For most operations, cut from side to side.
•
The direction that clippings are thrown depends upon the rotation of the cutting head. To direct
clippings away from the operator:
•
Clockwise rotation: Tilt the cutting head slightly down to the left; cut from right to left
whenever possible.
•
Counterclockwise rotation: Tilt the cutting head slightly down to the right; cut from left to
right whenever possible.
•
Cut tall grass (over 8 inches (20cm)) from the top down by lowering the cutting head onto the grass.
•
Cut with the tip of the trimming line.
•
Cut in small increments. Move slowly. Do not force the unit.
•
Do not trim wet grass or weeds.
NOTE: Some line breakage will occur from:
•
Entanglement with foreign matter
•
Normal line fatigue
•
Attempting to cut thick vegetation
•
Forcing the line into objects such as walls or fence posts
DECORATIVE TRIMMING
