12. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
As the EM is still under development, the above description
is subject to change without notice.
Once the SLC ENERGY MANAGER (hereinafter, EM) is correctly
connected to the inverter's RS485 bus, it will monitor the main
parameters, measurements, statuses and alarms of the inverter(s).
Up to 10 inverters can be connected to the RS485 bus, each with
a different address in the range of 1 to 10. The EM will function as
the Master of the system, requesting data from each of them and,
from time to time, scanning the bus for newly connected inverters.
This process can also be enabled via the user interface. The EM
can also send commands to the different inverters to change some
of their parameters, adjust the amount of power generated and
injected into the user's grid or even stop them.
The EM also has two built-in relays that can be programmed to
make the most of the power generated by the inverters by starting/
stopping loads in the user's system.
There are several ways to configure these relays via the user
interface:
Manual On/Off.

On/Off depending on the excess energy in the system.
•
On/Off date/time programming.
