Problem
The espresso does not
run or only runs very

attempted repairs. The same applies to normal wear and tear.

Possible cause
The espresso powder is pressed
too firmly.
The espresso powder is too
finely ground.
There is too much espresso
powder in the portafilter (9).
The transport protection is still
attached to the bottom of the
water tank (15).
The sieve insert (7, 8) is blocked.
The device is furred up.
The water in the water tank (15)
is no longer fresh.
The device is furred up.
The device is being used for the
first time.
The device has previously been
descaled.
Fix
Only press down the espresso
powder lightly.
Use espresso powder with a
coarser grind.
Add less espresso powder.
Pull out the plug before you start
operating the device.
Clean the sieve insert, using a
needle if necessary.
Descale the device.
Clean the water tank and add
fresh water. Do not leave water
residues standing for a long time.
Descale the device.
A smell often develops when
new devices are first used.
The smell should disappear
once the device has been used
several times.
Rinse out the device with fresh
water.
