- Página 5 Place the steps flat on the ground near the open vehicle door. Holding the base with one hand, use your other hand to pull up on the top step. The support bar should slide on the base and drop into a notch. Make sure the support bar is seated securely in one of the notches in the base.

In very large vehicles, it may be necessary for your dog to enter at floor level.
